My Cro-Tat Hooks

This whole hook thing started out with me selling the one I had made and was using, and then making myself a new one! It sort of grew from there, with encourgement from FriendCarolyn, FriendBetty, and others from the "crotatters" yahooGroup.

Pictured are 3 hooks I used to sell on Ebay, representative of my work. Sadly, I no longer make these hooks. We need someone to come up with small guage hooks, either handled or double-ended! Anyone out there go fine wire-work??

I made them myself one at a time, of the woods available to me. The B hooks are silky bamboo. The E and H hooks are usually alder, sometimes bamboo.

Sizes were dependent on available dowels, currently B (smallest yarns and larger threads) about 7-1/2", E (medium yarns) about 10-1/2", and H (worsted weight yarns).

Thank you for looking. Be encouraged to make your own hooks, crochet and cro-tat, and even double-ended, for yourself!
Best regards,
