Stitches-
----crochet picot - ch4, sl st into
sc just made
----picot (p) - 5/8'' space between ds stitches
----double hitch stitch (ds) - basic
2-part tatting and Cro-Tat stitch
----Ring (R) - 3ds, p, 3ds, p, 3ds, p, 3ds, p 3ds, p 3ds,
close Ring.
----Join -
insert hook into specified stitch, pull up loop to stand for 1st
half of next ds, then make 2nd half of ds, one ds made-
Instructions - ch1 for center, ch1 again for "beginning sc."
Round 1 -
continue:
(ch11, sc in center) 6 times ending with sl st in
"beginning sc" for the final sc.
6 loops made.
Round 2 -
loop 1 - ch1, (sc4 in loop, make crochet picot)
3 times, sc4 in loop, = 3 crochet picots made in this loop;
loop 2 - *in next loop, sc4 in loop, sl st in last
crochet picot of previous loop, sl st in last sc made, (sc4 in
loop, make crochet picot) 2 times, sc4 in loop, = 1 joined
crochet picot and 2 free crochet picots made in this loop.*
loops 3, 4, 5, 6 - Repeat * to * 4 more times, ending
with making similar sl st joining in place of the 3rd crochet
picot of final loop, to the 1st crochet picot of the 1st loop,
then continue with sc4 to complete the final loop.
6 points made. Break off.
Round 3 - with
new thread, in top of any point:
*[sc, R, sc] in top
of crochet picot of point, ch5, sc in the join between loops,
ch5*
Repeat for each point around, ending with sl st in
"beginning sc."
Finish off. Block and stiffen as desired.
