Part Two

Best Commercial Parody

Cookie Dough Sport!
--Love hurts... Love Scars... Love wounds... And mars! It takes a lot of pain, It takes a lot of pain. Oh-oh-oh-ohhh... Love hurts!

The SNL cast refreshes themselves with the invigorating taste of cookie dough in this parody of a very similar Gatorade commercial. ...Cookie Dough Sport. Be the Dough!

Best New Recurring Character!

Leon Phelps, The Ladies’ Man!!
Tim Meadow’s new character, Leon Phelps, who seems to be stuck in the late 60’s, along with his obligatory bottle of kavoisier (No, I don’t know how to spell it!),charms the ladies and gives hilarious advice on everything from love-making to Viagra to his callers on his cable access show appropriately titled, "The Ladies’ Man." "Technically speaking, just how dinky is your wang, Dinky Wang Man?"

Best Recurring Characters!

The Roxbury Guys!
They’ve been around a couple of seasons, but they’re still as hilarious as ever. Best noted this season for their appearances with Sylvester Stallone and Helen Hunt (With a special guest appearance by Jack Nicholson), their sole purpose in life seems to be club hopping and meeting women to the tune of, "What is Love." They’ve even made special appearances on award shows. And then there is that whole, "A Night at the Roxbury" movie, which is scheduled to be released in September. But, like most SNL parodies...it has been labeled a bomb.

Surprise of the Season!

Norm says Goodbye!
Actually he probably said, "Good Riddance!" laced with a few choice words. Despite the death of two former cast members, many viewers found thisto be more shocking. No one knows the whole truth, but from what we gather, Norm told one too many O.J. jokes and got canned by Don Ohleymer, NBC’s west coast president. Oh well, though his reign was short, Norm gave us a lot of laughs, and Colin Quinn has added a certain pizzazz to the weekly segment as his replacement.

Best Monologue!

Greg Kinnear!
After a brief plug of his long since released movie, "As Good As It Gets." Greg mentions that fellow stars Helen Hunt and Jack Nicholson received Oscars for their performances, but he was only nominated. But...he’s not obsessed about it or anything. So after viewing the movie several times in slow motion, he pinpoints the exact moment where he lost the Oscar to the audience. He spears something with his fork... and then picks up a piece of bacon and eats it. "What happened to what was on the fork?!?"
