Newcastle Village and District Historical Society
The Historical Society is located on the north shore of Lake Ontario, in the Village of Newcastle, Ontario. Newcastle is less than a 100 km east of Toronto. The Village is located on the 401 highway (Macdonald Cartier Freeway), the "Main Street of Southern Ontario". Newcastle connects to Peterborough, Ontario directly via the 115 highway. The city of Kingston is 220 km's east of Newcastle along Highway 401. The Historical Society Room is located in the Community Hall - take Exit 440 for Mill Street and Bond Head off Highway 401- proceed north 1.5km to Highway 2. The hall is on the north- west corner of Mill Street and Highway 2 intersection.
