Sapphire History
The Sapphires was founded in November of 1979. We are currently the youngest little sister organization to enter the Greek family.

Phi Delta Psi Fraternity Incorporated is our three greek big brothers. They were founded in 1977 at Western Michigan University. Currently we are not national, but in due time our missions and motto's will be heard threw out the land.

The Sapphires were brought into existence to help Phi Delta Psi in accomplishing desired goals and objectives. Now as we reach the year 2000, the Sapphires exist to accomplish not just Phi Delta Psi goals, but also our own.

We are beautiful jewels chosen to be Sapphires by the members of the Phi Delta Psi family. We take a pledge to be sisters forever, to up hold the values, and morals of our Fraternity.

The Fraternity colors are cardinal red and gold.
The Fraternity jewel is Sapphire.
The Fraternity flower is rose.
The Sapphire call is
Ooh Laa Phi.
We idealize fire, because we are the
FlameThrowers.

The Sapphires do not call each other sands, because we do not cross sands. Instead, we call our line sisters Flames. We do not call our other sister soro's, because we are not a sorority, however we are still sisters. So, we may call each other Sparks or just Sis.
