Artists from across the country and Canada gather each summer, the first Saturday following the fourth of July, at Backroads Gallery & Sculpture Garden in Damariscotta, Maine USA,
to celebrate work created on a central theme. Since its initial show in 1995,the the gallery provides space for an annual summer exhbition of post-modern and cutting-edge art
with themes such as "Opposites: Dismantling Symbolic Orders Based on the Play of Opposites (05)" to "Translation: Dreams/Nightmares (07)."
