NSDAR Motto – “God, Home, and Country”
History - The Wild Horse Trail Chapter was organized on October 4, 2003, the youngest of the nine NSDAR chapters in Idaho.  Its name comes from a pack route in rural north Idaho known to miners during the Kootenay gold rush.  The rush began in 1864 with the discovery of gold on Wild Horse Creek in British Columbia.  The trail, narrow and treacherous in many places, combined ancient Native American paths with those used by later fur traders and the U.S. Commission that established the northern border of the U.S.  After the gold boom fizzled about 1880, the trail fell into disuse with its exact location debatable.
Mission – To promote patriotism, education, and historic preservation.  To serve the country by preserving the memory and spirit of the men and women who achieved American Independence, by fostering patriotic citizenship and love of country, and by respecting our flag and Constitution.
Meetings - We meet on the second Saturday of each month, September through June, at various locations in the area unless otherwise determined by the Chapter.
