Driving to work in January, this is the lovely mess i deal with 3 months a year. Typical winter day. What makes this picture special is that there isn't a stop light light for quite some way down the road, and people were starting to panic. The salt trucks were no where to be seen yet. Luckily there were no accidents during this fiasco. However, it's too bad i missed the picture of the guy who got stuck a few lights down and completely blocked the intersection. Winter fun.
I started a collection of dragons a few years ago and i was really suprised to receive these little cuties as a Christmas gift. Almost my entire home has a real naturistic theme (a lot of wood, plants, brown & green tones) so these guys really stand out when you walk in. Regardless how they may look in this picture, it was taken really close up for detail and they only stand 3 inches tall. Hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil. (Yes i know that's not the right order but whatever).. :)
This picture was taken because a certain person *ahem* simply couldn't believe i liked lava lamps and told me they were very out of style. Wrong! Lava lamps are soothing and relaxing. They take your mind to a more simplistic state of being after a long and hectic day. That screen shot from the TV happens to be Brad Pitt from the movie True Romance, which is one of the many movies (hbo or cinemax, can't remember which) happens to be running into the ground. I don't know whether to smile or groan about that.
This was during my 2001 trip to the Smoky Mountains. What an adventure! To see Abrams falls, it's a 5 mile round trip hike. Pictures like these convey the beauty, but there's nothing like seeing it with your own eyes, it's just amazing. This hike ranks second in my book, followed behind the trek to Ramsey Cascades (7 1/2 miles round trip). The trail to Ramsey is very rich with old forest growth and is a bit more moderate.
Bouquet of choice for firemen and working-class heroes with hearts of gold, this is the real deal. During Valentines week the average price of a dozen long-stemmed roses surges to $120 or five times the florist's bunch any other week of the year - which should make you five times as pleased. Proper response: Big Hug and a steak dinner.  Ahh roses..
