While the western filmed in Markdale in August 1957 typically featured "Sherriffs" and "Marshals" to maintain peace, the law was actually kept by these fine-looking gents: Clarence Bowins and his part-time assistant, Jack Johnston. They managed traffic so well during filming, they were rewarded immortality as walk-thru extras.

While Clarence and Jack kept everyone safe on Markdale thoroughfares, a young lady named Wendy Urquhardt was keeping Hamilton and Burlington area swimmers safe, in the Province of Ontario, Canada.
